Where the Gap
Meets the Ridge
At 700–750 feet elevation, the vineyard sits above the fog line on a beautiful meadow framed by the surrounding hills. The soils are chalky, fracturous, and mineral-rich — forcing vines to root deep and produce small, intensely concentrated berries.
The Petaluma Gap’s signature coastal winds funnel through the corridor daily, naturally slowing ripening and preserving acidity. Surrounding redwoods, bays, and oaks create a sheltered microclimate where morning fog lingers, afternoon sun warms, and evening breezes cool.

Beneath the vines lies the vineyard’s defining feature — a rare soil mix laid down by nature above the Rodgers Creek fault. Rocky and volcanically influenced, these lean soils refuse to give the vines an easy life.
Low-vigor growing conditions force the berries to stay small and the fruit to concentrate. The result is wine of unmistakable mineral expression — structured, taut, and rooted to this specific piece of ground.

We farm for quality above all else. Low yields, meticulous canopy management, and hand-sorting at harvest ensure every cluster meets the highest standard. Night harvesting preserves freshness and aromatics in the cool Petaluma Gap air.
Our winemaker partners are collaborators — welcomed into the vineyard throughout the growing season. We work alongside them on cropping and other farming decisions, tailored to each winemaker’s vision.
